Re: New Tank Build for a Nes House

Tank is full. We let it sit for a couple of days before adding salt to make sure there were no leaks. Luckily there were only a couple of small little drips but nothing to serious.

Last night we added the salt an well as 2 bags of sand!!!! The water was clearing up mostly this morning. I'll be rinsing out the filter socks tonight which will help clear the balance of the water.

Live rocks and lighting I'm hoping will be next week..... It's coming along nicely.

The office where the tank is is silent which is great. The basement where the filter room is though...... I need to put up a door ASAP ..... I ran into problems with the contractor so it never got done. Oh well...

Re: New Tank Build for a Nes House

My wife likes it as long as I'm doing the maintenance and not spending too much on it....

I like my wrasses so I need a deep enough sandbed for then to sleep at night. I'm trying to keep it to 1/2 - 3/4 an inch max though....

No serious drips. He's coming back to seal them early next week. The worst one drips into the auto topoff chamber.

Make sure he fixes because a drip can turn into a FLOOD overnight nooooo problem...... You don't want ANY drips.
