One of the most common questions I get regarding seahorses, is what are they. Well a seahorse is a cross between a fish and a true freak of nature, but when it comes right down to it, it is a fish. They swim upright because of evolution, and the fact that they are most often found in amongst long grasses and gorgonians, and vertical swimming made the most sense. So their dietary requirements are not unlike that of most fish. They love PE mysis shrimp because of the nutrional content of this food. It is far superior to regular brine shrimp. Yet I still suggest supplementing their diets. I liketo use a supplement high in Omega fatty acids, and different oils. Mysis shrimp soaked in Kent Zoe and Zoe con do awesome. Zoe and Zoe con seem expensive, but a 4 or 8 oz bottle lasts forever, and it is a small price to pay to enusre the health of these true aquarium beauties. If you are gonna spend $100 bucks on fish what does $20 on supplements really matter.
