Network help needed

I got a D-link D1-604 router. So far it looks like I have internet on both machines but I want to set it up to enable me to transfer files and share the printer.

I was assured I could do this but the instructions are useless.

what do i have to do?

Mitchell yes you should be able too. You must start by sharing what ever directory/printer you want to share. If you need any help let me know. Its as simple as a right click :)
