Hi there, first time posting(well 2nd really), first asking something. I have a 45 Gal with 2 bettas,3 mickey platys and a pleco. Would it be okay to add some neon tetras to this tank(i was thinking around 4-5) Not sure if they are compatible with whats in the tank now as im rather new at this. TIA.:P

Weeell....I have seen Pleco's eat tetras from the bottom of the tank before! :embarrase ...I mean, just scarf them up!

As for the Betta...I don't know...that depends if the betta is a mean one or not. I would think if he doesn't pick on the platies then he shouldn't pick on the others either.

Agreed...if you do add neons, make it a small school (6-12)...that will help them avoid any predation, but you will have to keep an eye on the other fish...even the platies may try some chasing and nipping.
