Ok Long story short..

started with a 30 gallon Saltwater tank about 6 months ago.. Moved to a 90 gallon a month ago.. which Cracked on me... NO idea how.. In a rush to get a replacement all that was avaible was 72 gallon...

Now i have a naso Tang.. it is about 5 inches.. i had intentions of buying a 180 gallon tank in about 6 months.. when i had the 90 gallon.. But in the recent tank issue.. I had to replace the tank.. $100 plus Drilling, overflow , Bulkheads.. So on... and my SUmp pump died.. so i bought an inline Pump and went to get my 20 gallon tank drilled for the sump well that cracked during the drilling.. So all in all over the last 48 hours i have spent TOOO much money and will no longer be able to afford the 180 for most likly now about a year..

So what i want to know is.. How much longer do i have with this Tang.... how fast do they grow? Anyone have one or have had experience with them?

Tooooloud,
You will have as much time as you need until he starts showing signs of stress, usually in the form of Ich.
You have a couple of options, you could let someone with a bigger tank hold him for you, you could ask an LFS to hold him for you or you could sell him.
Someone out there would probably be willing to hold him for you, I would but once in my tank it's damn near impossible to get a fish out, unless I tear it down.
Some LFS's are much moore accomodaating about this kind of thing than others, check around.
You will never get what you paid for him retail and after all the heartbreak and expense lately (pardon the pun, couldn't resist) I doubt you would want to sell him.
Otherwise just keep an eye on him and if he starts to stress, come back to us, someone should be willing to help out

Well, If he is already 5 inches, then most of his growth spurt has already happened. Here on in will be fairly slow. Unless of course you feed him three to four times a day until bursting.
