Ok, Would you EAT any common aquarium fish? Yours, mine? Let us know! I personally WOULD NOT ever eat my own fish just because of the fact that my Goldfish eat their poop, and nasty bloodworms! :roflmao:

Absolutely not! My water isn't even like a river's water! I wouldn't even sell my fish to the LFS, so therefore i would not eat my own fish. hehehe But i've read somewhere in the amazons, the tribes in the forest eat arowanas! That's crazy...they should ship them out to get money!

Many of the fish we keep in aquariums are actually used as food ish in their native ranges.....clown knife fish, arowanas, tiger shovelnose cats, red tailed cats, gouramis, tinfoil barbs, tilapia, bichirs, pacu, etc. In fact, my local Asian supermarket carries frozen tinfoil barbs (which I understand are quite bony), and live tilapia.

Nope, I wouldn't. Although I've heard that clown loaches (I have 3) are eaten... YUCK! :puke:

Heck, in Madagascar, where people tend to be very poor, they regularly eat radiated tortoises....the same species that sells for as much as $5000/animal in North America....now thats an expensive dinner.

I do all the time. My grocery store, as I am sure most of yours do also, carry Tilipia. It is a wonderful, delicate white fish that tastes great. Now I know what my 55 gallon tanks inhabitants look like on the dinner plate.
