Quick question,

When is the best time to shut 'er down to do maistainence on my return pump and install a couple of more sumps
online?

At first I figured at night when the lights go off and the reef is quieter.
Then I thought that it should be done during the day when the oxygen levels are higher.
Now I don't know what to think, I'm so confused.

The low down is the pump will be off line for about 3-4 hours, I figured if I run an airline into the main tank for the
duration, and there is plenty of water movement I should be ok.

THe tank is a custom 200 with 350Lbs of LS, 140Lbs of LR. Hippo tang, Large Maroon Clown, bicolour Blennie and a
Red Sea Anthias.

hey derek.. with such a low fish load .vs. the high volume of water i don't think it will make any real difference as to when you shut your pump off. If you have a powerhead i would put that in the tank to get some surface agitation to help promote gas exchange. and the airstone wouldn't hurt either, but i doubt you would need it (still good for insurance)
