Hey ajx22,

What if the board was signed up at aquarank, and other ranking aquaria web sites..... we might get more traffic in and out of the board.

Sure...well i'll tell you what i know. Well http://www.aquarank.com/
is a web site, where A LOT of the big aquatic web sites list their sites. They then compete, EVERY week in a ranking system. Usually the top 5 sites get A LOT of visitors each week. On the ladder board, each site has 2 numbers beside them, showing how many people voted for your site, and how many people went IN your website from aquarank. The top 5 web sites get around 300 visitors!! each week from aquarank. This is how people I THINK find their fish stuff. Well go to the web site for more information, maybe in a month or sometime, we could be competing with the best!

not sure what others think, but personally i like this board for its mostly canadian content and for its slower pace than the larger boards. When a board gets too large and spans too large of an area it losses its sense of familiarity among the members (or atleast it does to me)
If i wanted a large flow of information i would go to reefs org or to reef central etc. In fact i have stoped visiting these boards for the most part as there tends to be WAY too much info and way too many posts to sift through.

I c...maybe on aquarank, we could make it like... mainly for canadian fishkeepers... ? That way, we won't get that many people? Like the logo and the title could be Canadian Aquariumpros.ca or something... so then people know it's mainly for canadians...or their could be a canadian logo as well...i dunno how that will turn out lol. Anyways, i agree with afss, in that the reason i came here was because of its canadian content, and because it's good to know canadian people in the same hobby so then maybe a club can turn out...or we can tell each other of the good deals and such.

thats exactly what i mean

BTW there is the Marine Aquarium Society of Toronto MAST that you could go to if you don't already know about it.. i believe that it is down for the summer now, but i think it starts back up in september.

I have made the changes you suggested...what do you think?

Kinda nice that despite being over 250 listings - we are already #52! lol

I don't think you should put Toronto, Ontario, CANADA? Maybe just Canada...cuz it'll turn away like the west and the east?

I wouldn't worry too much about the whole thing.

I couldn't even find AquariumPros.ca in the ranking list today! :eek1:

Besides that, the two top reef discussion boards on the Internet, Reef Central and Reefs.org aren't even listed in the rankings, so I question even the usefullness of the ranking site, and the number of people that vote there.
