Does anyone have some ideas about building a DIY internal Overflow Box? I want to build one for a 180 gallon tank:confused:
I see the boxes for sale on the internet but by the time I pay shipping and customs charges it is pushing the $100 mark.
I am open for any suggestions :help:

get a couple of tupperware boxes of the size you want.. cut a hole in the bootom of one and put a compresion type gasket of the size pipe you want to use on it. Cut teeth in the one for the inside of the tank. make yourself a u shaped tube from a few short pieces of pvc and a couple of 90's and you have an overflow box.. not including time and effort mine cost me a grand total of around 10 dollars all in.. If you are going to be in the area you can come and see it.. if i had pics i'd post.. if you want i could try to sketch it.

Here's what I did, although not an overflow box, very cheap and very practical.
