Large tank. Glass or Acrylic

Do you guys think a 190 gallon glass tank would be better than an acrylic tank? what's so bad about acyrlic, apart form that it can scratch. And you can repair the scratches right?

I think acrylic has many advantages to glass especially with larger tanks. Some of the advantages are:


Safer, never have to worry about it shattering due to stress or earthquake
Better insulator (holds temp in better, or out for that matter)
Lighter than glass
Clearer than glass (less optical distortion)


Only downside is that it is more expensive than a similarly sized glass tank. I know that if I can get a good deal on an acrylic tank for my next tank, I'd likely go that route.
