I have spent the last couple hours reading a ReefCentral topic on "feeding corals" I thought this might be an interesting topic to discuss on this site.
This is a two part question: a)What are you feeding your corals and b) what method of feeding do you use?
It appears that some reef keepers "target feed" their corals and some simply feed the entire tank.
What works for you???

I use Golden Pearls (3 smallest sizes) twice a week for the "SPS". The "LPS" get whatever they can snatch from the water column whenever I feed the fish. The only corals I target feed are my Fungia and Cynarina who get an occasional piece of silversides.

Reefer, I have read a lot of material recently regarding coral feeding. One product that keeps appearing is Vibragrow, I have fed fish with this product but never corals. Hummmm, maybe it will be on the menu during my next coral feeding :D

VIBRAGROW
AFSS can tell you how my corals react to this stuff. I use the fine pellets then grind it even further with my fingers, soak it in some saltwater and dump it in. Im happy with the results.

I am very impresed with the vibragrow also. I wasn't sure about the claims that coralmorphian was making until i saw it myself. Mushrooms would actually open up and take in the food. I have seen poly[[s of many of my corals close, retract, then re open, repeat, after adding vibragrow. This may be the same for all good dried foods, but its the first time i have seen this sort of reaction from the corals

I usually make my own fish food in a blender and blend it for a long time so when it's added to the water there are plenty of fine particles which I hope the corals end up eating.
For the fish food I buy squid clams shrimp fish, sea weed and add whatever commercial dry fish food I have to it as well. Then freeze it.

I don't target feed my corals, what I do is completely overfeed the tank like crazy once a day.
I make my own food from scratch like fishlips. But I include that Vibraglow stuff and some algae paste, along with an assortment of other things, just like BITS AND BITES (tm).
