Anyone know where I can find algal paste? Preferable without having to resort to buying it by the liter, or from the USA. Specifically I'm looking for Nannochloropsis oculata
I'm also on the search for Rotifiers
Any help would be appreciated

Stephane,
Thanks for answering a question for me, I tried to get ahold of someone at Brine Shrimp Direct but they have hours that would shame a bank :>
Specifically I was wondering if I they would ship to Canada. Now I know.
I can get Nannochloropsis here in Canada and save myself the Customs hassles and duties etc.....
My biggest hurdle right now is finding some Rotifiers as baby Brine shrimp are a little too big for the larval stage.
If anyone out there is culturing rotifiers I would greatly appreciate it if you dropped me a line.
TIA

Sorry, but I'm looking for rotifers too. I culture DT's phyto and I grow brine shrimp to adult stage and reproduction, but have been unable to find a source of rotifers here in Southwestern Ontario.
Jayson at Saltwater Connections sold me algae discs but I didn't like them as well as the DT's phyto that I also got from him. He also sells the fertilizer for the phyto growth.

rayjay,
I have found rotifers here in Canada, on the west coast, but it is fairly prohibitive. If you wanted to go splits or something like that shoot me an email, perhaps anyone else interested in getting in on this, I wouldn't mind organizing something.

What is "fairly prohibitive"? What are the chances of survival to be shipped this far?

Dman,
Flame*Angel ( www.sjwilson.net/reef ) is cultivating phyto, shrimp and rotifers...maybe dropp her an email and ask her where she gets her supplies? (She is in NB I think - east coast for sure, so I know she is in Canada)...
Cheers,
Keith.

Rayjay,
Fairly prohibitive as in I have to buy way too much from one of the only suppliers I've found here in Canada. Basically I am looking at just over 200CDN not including shipping for more Nanno and rotifers than I can shake a stick at.
Taoism, Flameangel is here in Canada, Nova Scotia or New Brunswick. I will shoot her an email, thanks for the tip.
