Leather help question. UPDATE

After siphoning out the brown "goop" in the affected areas and increasing the flow over the leather, it continued to only open partially for the next day or so. After about the third day it began to open fully and returned to it's full size once again. The ulcerations seem to be healing now with no more infected tissue reappearing. Thanks for all the help folks. Very much appreciated.:thumbsup:
