Silencer for Euro Reef skimmers.

First let me say that I love my EuroReef skimmer. Best skimmer I've seen or owned. I have one minor complaint about it though. The skimmer overflow/return is a tad noisy from the falling water and there's a bit of splashing.

After a bit of contemplating I came up with this idea. And surprise surprise, it works!! lol

Very simple to construct and adjust.

Here's a pic of the bracket I made for the silencer. I used nylon nuts and bolts to hold it in place. The small piece of airline is to compensate for the weight of the tube.

Just thought I would throw in this pic of 3 day's worth of skimmate. Keep in mind the collection cup is 12" in diameter.
