females lower fin is missing.....all that is exposed is the bone.....close to the body is a large mass of brown.....swollen and frayed....need help as this is a rescue mission.....anyone have any ideas....was thinking it might be fin rot.....but never seen it to this extreme.....pic is next to impossible to get.....have tried and cant seem to get one

Have you tried a fresh water dip?

Also how is your water parameters?

Are you doing regular maintenance?

the fish came from a neighbor who just tore down his tank and was going to flush her.....water in the quarintine tank is right were its supposed to be.....havnt done a fresh water dip as I am not that familar with it....thought dips were for parasites....almost looks like a tumour.....for lack of a better description.....fish is active and takes food no problem
