Is it possible for a clam to recover from bleaching or to revers the effect?

I am not having any problems as of Yet, but I mean just in case, Is it possible to heal them? and tips? tricks? or is it a waiting game of keeping them healthy to recover?.

and is there a difference depending if its minor bleaching or major bleaching?

Any info?

My understanding is that if the zooanthellae are lost, the clam will inevitably die. However, I do not have first hand experience.

I think it depends on how bad it is....
I have a clam that was gaping and the tissue around the opening was very pale...actually white.
The clam has since recovered......

My clam had a small bleach spot on it and has since dissapeared.. It was close to the time that I got it ( with in 1 week) I think it was stress related to the move...

Cool folks!
I have purchased a clam, with a few very minor bleach spots... nothing overwhelming... so hopefully he aclimates fast and heals up!
