I wanted to know what types of schooling fish people have luck with in the reef tank..
In my 125 gallon i have lots of bottom dwellers and corals but the top section of the tank needs some moving life.
I have had a bunch of Blue-Green cromis but they just seem to disapear with out a trace.. I think i have lost at least 10 by now... There not behind the tank...lol. or not in any power heads..no sign of them any where.. I look at my tank every day..
Thanks
Leo

I had 6 chromis in my 180. They schooled nicely. From what I have heard, stay away from the cats. They look cool when they are small and they school but when they get larger, they reek havok. This is only what I have read and not personall experience.
Anthias also school but once again I have heard that they are hit or miss to.

I posted this same ? at reef central awhile ago and didn't really get alot of answers.

Sorry I couldn't be more helpfull to you leo.

Good luck

Leo,
Anthias are a good choice for schooling fish, do some research beforehand, some do alot better than others in cap. If you have a fairly large tank you could try some tangs, they're colourful and swim all over the tank, up and down.
