Delay....
I bought the tank used 3 months ago, and I got the bio tower off of his other tank which had been well established already, so I set the tank up and cycled it with 20 lbs of rock for a week. I had my major algae bloom of brown and green algae, then I got some more rock here and there. I didn't really start adding stuff till a month or 2 later. Then I bought the rest of the stuff off of others previously established systems. I haven't had much loss, only loss a hammerhead coral because when I got it it was half dead already and I was trying to revive it. I also lost a couple of fish because I brought in a lot of live rock at once and I didn't have a quaranteen tank set up properly so the fish died in quaranteen. Other than that I never knew a single thing about saltwater fish until 3 months ago. It was my wife's idea to start. So far I've spent about $1200 (including equipment and stock)... I bargain hunted quite a bit.
thanks
