Well it finally happened to me!!:angry: Lastnight (Thursday, April 4th) - I came home to find water EVERYWHERE!!! Somehow, one of the return lines from my protein skimmer had fallen off and all the water from the 6 foot tall skimmer had poured onto the main-level hardwood floor. This was bad enough - until I went to the basement!!! :eek2: WATER EVERYWHERE!!!! :uzi::uzi::uzi:

So after 8 hours of clean-up - I still have no phone line or internet as somehow the water seeping through the floor came into contact with the phone wires and has shorted them out.

So I cannot answer the phone line or access the internet until I get this wiring worked out.

:mad: **** that sucks.....Hope it don't worpe your hardwood floor,if thats what u have for a floor.Goood luck!!!:cheers:

Well...I finally have everything cleaned up and the skimmer reattached and filled. What a PITA!!

The floor IS hardwood - and the sections that I can see are a little bit lifted (but it's likely still a bit wet/moist under the boards) at the seems, but I'm most worried about under the tank where I cannot get to!! :eek1:

I guess I will find out when I move...I may have to redo some of the floor then. :( Oh well.....

Phone and internet are now working again - I don't understand it - but Bell Canada came today, and the problem was at the box and not my house...so somehow this problem with the phone was NOT related to the flood?!?!? Weird timing or what!!!

Thanks for everyones concern and patience. All should be back to business as usuall again now!!!

Yeahh! sorry for you but welcom to the club!!!!

I have so many flood in my background that I could not even coutn them the ard wood floor in my main salon are conpletly be scap to time and the roof downstair have been repare an paint so much time. just take a beer an forget it I tink this is part of a reefer life.:cheers:
