Wow...there isn't much action in this section. Hopefully we can get some action going in here!
I'm setting up my tank this week...here's what I'll be using.
20L (long)
30-40lbs of Live Rock
1-1.5" of sand...not sure of weight yet
Coralife Aqualight 30" 2x65w w/legs
AquaC Remora
22" Custom Made Refugium from Acrylic City
Jalli 17" 18w PC
2 Powerheads - Maxi-Jet 1200s
2 50w Heaters - 1 in tank - 1 in fuge
DIY Top-Off using a 5g water bottle and an airpump or a Kent Float valve and gravity. Has anyone ever used a Kent float valve? Just wondering about reliability.
After cycling I'm thinking of having one PH running behind the rockwork for circulation, and having the other connected to a SCWD outside of the tank and using 2 SCWD return kits, one on each side of the tank for the wave action...just an idea so far, I'll have to see how neatly I can rig up the water lines.
I'm hoping that the 1200s won't be too much flow for my tank...I was told they wouldn't be and that it would be a good idea to have a couple around in case the 1200 on the Remora goes...
I'll try to post some pics once the tank is up...
