My Regal Tang went thru a rough patch 3 months ago (ich) and I almost lost it, but copper treatments in the hospital tank saved the day. It's now been back in my 65 gal main tank for about 2 months and it's doing great, but the dorsal and tail fins are still quite ragged. How long should it take for this to grow out?

I feed it flakes, brine shrimp, pellets and lettuce every once in a while. Appetite is always good.

Thanks...

Hello

It shouldn't take very long under good conditions. Depending on the damage. I have sean 2/3 of a tail grow back in about 3 weeks. Any food with vitamin B12 will help alot. Also as for the lettuce you are feeding it is mostly water and of little use, you should try to locate some dry Nori at a chinese food store in your area or youy can buy aquarium package seaweed products.
