Anyone seen this before?
I have a mid sized Clarki Clown that suddenly took a huge dislike to a Xenia, pretty much shredded it now. Will grab a 'hand' and rip it right off then spit it out.
Same friggin clown is responsable for a continous need to buy Blue Legged Hermits as he will grab smaller ones and drop them in the anenome..

Can't help you with why its doing it, but i know of many people who would love to get rid of their blue legs.. you should rent out the clown and anemone as blue leg terminators:D

Sorry Greg
I wish I could help but I've never come across that problem yet. I have a Sebea clown that has adopted the green star polyp has his home but does not attack it.

Greg, I have a pair of breeding Clarki clowns who do the same thing but with my Emerald crabs. Two of my ECs have met their demise because of the Clarki clowns dropping them into their host carpet anenome. I also think I may have lost quite a few Blue Legs as well. One of my ECs lasted all of 20 mins in the tank. I released him into the tank far away from the anenome and left the tank for approx. 20 mins only to return to find the EC inside the anenome. My clowns spawn every two weeks on the rock next to their anenome. Because of their aggresive behaviour during spawning, none of the valonia growing around or near the eggs gets touched, which in turn attracts the ECs, at which point the clowns snatch the crab and drop it in the anenome.
