HI: could not find my old thread , so here we are today. We have re done the whole rec room and built in the tank with a seperate room for equipment. The room was pretty loud and still working on quieting it down , even 3600 Mag in the sump still vibrating through the walls because the tank is attached. New bamboo floor. Managed to buy all equipment , LR, corals yet to added here, even fish all on the forum. A chiller, all the lights, bulbs , calcium r, sump from on line and this forum as well. Amazing.
D'man on the right, has helped me so much. (coodles big guy) here we are in Michael Jackson pose or is it the free kick in soccer, anyways he is the brains behind the tank , I just found the million $ to build it. Now for the Pioneer 42" plasma Elite and the home theatre www.canton.de english version movie speakers, and Pioneer Elite dvd, receiver. The plan is a party super bowl Sunday. All welcome , Steve Beaches

What a class job you must have taken a great interest in planning. Its shows so well. The set-up is beautiful!!!
Where did you get bamboo flooring I hear its the latest thing! Does it go on over concrete or do you have to put foam down like your laminate flooring? Any idea of cost?

thanks guys. It was a lot of planning. NOt only
the tank but the whole downstairs. This a 1920's basement in the beaches. First thing was to update the electrical $3k . Really lucky to get local contractors who have done work for us before. The pride they work with is unbeleivable. They will be on hand Super Bowl Sunday. I used to be a chef and cooking lots of food. Email me for directions please. The room is actually very retro with a Davenport couch we had re-covered and a funky shelf that houses six old radio's. My wife has excellent eye for colours.
Bamboo floor is very strong. You buy at Woodland's Logan and Gerrard. Panda natural vertical cut is $122 after tax a box and I used 8 boxes to cover 16 x 20. ($5 foot) You just glue it down. I used a Home depot liner and a sub floor made out of plywood and rubber bottom (ren-core?) comes in 2 x 2 for $6 each., the basement floor was waterproofed as well and lucky to have a drain right in the fish room floor. I had about 50 gallons from the sump leak on the floor today and cleaned it up in five minutes, lol.
again thanks and more pictures to come. for sure

The underfloor stuff you're talking about is Dri-core. I park my car on four pieces of it over the winter. :)
Looking good man!

clean up crew, even the clarki's is eating it. Read online by Boreman that often hair algae is caused by the new system wanting to rid of the amonia. The feather duster was tiny and brown when I got it three months ago. I put it immediately into my fuge and presto it has changed to purple and has a nice double umbrella. Also the flower anomone was just moved yesterday to the new tank after being in my 40 gallon for over a year. It has really grown and the tube is over a foot. Now just stay there ,lol..........
