Just wanted to publicly announce that Greg Moore has agreed to become a Moderator on the AquariumPros.ca forums!
Greg brings a great deal of knowledge to the table, and has the ability of being able to explain even the most complex issues in a very logical, easy to understand way!
Again, I thank Greg for joining the team...and I'm sure you will all benefit from his posts.

Thanks Stephane...
I'm just trying to make a little difference in the grand picture. I just think that we in Canada should be able to have the same High Quality livestock that the US can get, and have it available at a reasonable price.
I don't expect to get rich from this...only maintain the business and slowly grow. If I can do this, and feel that I have helped a 'few' people...then I have done what I set-out to do.
My problem is that I love this hobby and all it entails...so, I'm not the best person to try to take advantage of people - as I am too caught-up in seeing that the animals are going to a 'good home'.
LOL....this likely sounds like a 'Christian Children's Fund' commercial...so I'm gonna stop now! :D
Good Reefing to all......

Thanks for the invite and introduction as well. Hopefully I can help some people enjoy the hobby and learn, that is what it has been all about for me so far. My tanks are not perfect, but I love to learn and to see what changes take place..
I'll try to avoid the ramblings I sometimes supply for a responce, but then again I do like to fully explain things sometimes :) Hopefully people will take my experience in as offered and not expect a new Dr., just another experimental reefer.

..greg has helped me out tons..we had a phone conversation that was well over an hour and he constantly gives out good information..also greg is very good in that he doesnt feel that his way is best although what he does have to say has been backed up by his own experience or the experience of other reliable sources..he is also very knowledgable in the diy category as this is also stuff which he has learned from first hand..good choice A.J!

Truth be known I do this reef more for the DIY and tinker factor then the reef factor. My wife loves the reef tank stuff too (she is the one pushing for a 200g :) but I really love to build things and see if they will work :)
To date if anyone needs info, all items work well or even better..
Oak cabinet with full opening parallel hinged top.
Remote mounted low cost halide ballasts
X-10 timing for all lighting.
Fresh water chiller, extreemly effective and about $30
Automatic heater chiller controller with digital readout for the above chiller, about $50
Skimmer, simple counter current, air driven.
Skimmer, simple counter current, venturi driven.
Hang on filter attachment (like a aquaclear but no pump)
8 Tank coral farm
Low cost auto top off system
Split cost RO unit
Over drive T8 ballasts (not my original idea but works great)
Dual stage calcium reactor, square, not round.
Low cost regulator for CO2 tank for above.
Repaired 90g tank (bought with broken end, usually lots around)
In cabinet drain system for chiller and skimmer
Tons and tons of failed projects :)
