conch baby?

I have an orange lipped conch and it has this thing on the back of its shell, it kind of looks like a mini version of a conch. It is attached and doesnt come off, but the snout pops out to graze on the glass. Is this just how conch carry babies? Thanks,

can't really tell too well....might be a stomatella or limpet of some sort....harmless, if that's the case.
