just thought i would post a pic of our tank after being up and running for 4 months, and many mistakes along the way, but i think we have things running OK now.........i hope

yes it is a cool touch fixture...........2x175 MH (ushio) and 2 HO actinic

i used 1/2" aluminium tubing and angle tubing from Home Depot and fastened them together and to the top of the tank with a marine type apoxy

Four months and lookin good darylm. I always like a set-up more when someone takes the time to build or modify the equipment themselves. It's very rewarding. Keep up the good work.

Really like your setup. About to do the same on my 77g.

Do you have a sump underneath?
Can you show your powerhead setup in a bit more detail?

Looks great. Really nice setup. Is that a "rainbow rock" in the center front of your tank? Nice!!

thanks for all the great comments............the tank wouldnt look like this if it wasnt for this great web site.
and yes that is rainbow rock (from canadian reef) its the centre piece of my tank.

That tank looks great. Too bad my 65 won't look that good after 6 months. I'm new to it but it's pictures like this that really help. Thanks.
