Wow. Very rare fish indeed (Chaetodon daedalma). Average prices seen on this fish in North America (USA) ranges from $1,500-$4,000 ea (depending on size). Juveniles (<3") are rarely ever seen. Most common (though still very rare in North America) is around 5".
This is an EXPERT ONLY fish - and requires a large ( >180Gal) cooler temperature FOWLR / species tank (60°F-75°F). Temps above 75°F can KILL this animal, as it's ONLY found in the deep cool waters off the South & West coasts of Japan. A temperature controller and chiller are a MUST for this animal!!!
Stunning acquisition for someone with the right tank and knowledge (and income). :)

Yup, for that kind of money and rarity of these Animals, I will leave it to the expert, hope i will get a chance to see them before they are gone to their new homes. whats their life span?

Thanks AJ for adding that, I would hate to see someone toss it in thier tank not knowing what they have.

Wouldn't it be nice if the stores would supply that info, people buy fish and Corals all the time and don't care what their needs are. That's pretty pricey for a fish.

Jewel, if the store cant supply us with needed info too bad for them, that's why we are here at Aquarium pros.ca, great people and lots and lots info here, and you have seen who shared with us the info first (Ajx22), about those rare creatures from deep sea!!
