Need food for moorish idol. Any recommendations. Hes not into pe mysis or chopped shrimp nor flakes nor spectrum marine formula.

That may be because of their natural food source - Sponges

Should see if Ken can order in some big sponges for you. Should be easy to keep alive in a sump, and you would have a food source that the idol is familar with.

regarding Idol, try the new cubes with sponge for angel fish. my Idol loves it.

then mix in some brine, mine only took brine and sponge at first.

I fed it 8 times a day, and still do.

then mix some PE mysis, and cut back on brine ... keep doing this , til l you cut brine out fully.

NLS thera A+ pellets are the only pellets mine would take.

now after 2 months, he is eating almost everything. how much sponges do you have growing in your system ? I had alot, and the Idol finished them in 2 days !! but I am glad, as I think that gave him enegry ...
Brightwell's angellix enrichment product is a good help too, contains Amino Acids that sponges contain.

My Idol eat everything, pillet, frozen and even the SPS.
I picked up a nice flat piece Acro from Ken today and the idol took no time to nipping the acro. :(. My problem is trying to stop it from eating my sps.

the more I feed him, the less he nips on my SPS. BUT he still does get a couple of nice nips on the nicest polyps I got after eating lol the fish is so beautiful, I cant care less if it trims my SPS a bit.
