Hello everyone,

I have spotted this really small snail today, perhaps i am overreacting but i would like to know if this will cause any problems. I have noticed that these zoas that i have, had a decent amount of small polyps growing id say maybe like 20 or so, now they are all gone except one(out of the new growth), but there are still about 8 of the original but they are much bigger than what has been eaten or at least what i suspect has been eaten. Anyway the snail that i found must be roughly 2 millimeters at the most, shell is a light brown colour, seemed like an off white at first, now the shell itself looks like the same shape as a turbo snails shell, and you can see the two antennas. anyway here are some pictures although they are not very good considering the size of this thing.

I used to have 2 turbo snails back in febuary, but both have died, now i have 2 torchus snails and 8 nassarius snails, i have seen the torchus snails blast their sperm or whatever into the water column, and i considered maybe these are the offspring, but the only thing that bothers me is the shape of this shell, looks more like a turbo of some sort. Anyway if anyone can help that will be greatly appreciated.

thanks for your time
giancarlo

Underside appears to be Stomatella varia - but that doesn't match up with the shell style. Would need a much clearer image of the shell to accurately tell you.
