I will be ading a pair of clowns to my 10G and would like to know what would be the best item to add to the tank. As this is a 10G I do not want to put an anenome in the tank as I feel this would be cruel.
What other items have been know to serve well as hosts for clowns?

My clowns loved Xenia
Leathers are also common as well as hairy shrooms

have been looking at leathers.. Since I do not know much about them are some better than others?
Anyone got a frag or know where one can get a good sized leather to start with?
difficult to use as a host if it is a frag the size of a loonie would need a fair sized one.
The only other coral that is planned to be in the tank would be a variety of Zoo's. any issues with having a leather and zoo's in such close proximity?

I have seen hammer corals (red sea has a beautiful mating pair in his, I can email you a picture) , John at NAFB has a green mat polup for sale and it will host clowns. I saw someone had a clown host his clam. oh thanks for the copepods they are really working. Have yet to set up photoplantkon though.

Can anyone please tell me the type of xenia that Kadaytar shows in his pictures . Does it appear to be as orange in color as the pictures show or is that just the way that it appears in the photo !Sometimes these photos can fool you ! Thank you for any help ! Kevin.

Kevin, that Xenia is really light brown/Tan color, I guess the actinics make them look different, I never seen a orange Xenia but I have some light pink color...
