Hello everyone:

I've been meaning to post some pics for awhile. I've got a 75 gallon tank. I just bought mh/vho lighting from cool touch lately. I also just built a stand for it to sit on. It almost looks professional.

Very nice...
Especially like those branching live rocks? Are those tongas?

Keep up the good work.....Can you provide more information on the tank?

Yup! I bought all sorts of tonga branch. I've got about 30 lbs of it. I've got over 100 lbs of LR all together. I started off with a flourescent fixture but quickly developed a taste for SPS. Thanks Andy! So I recently bought a dual 250 W metal halide and dual VHO's. I must say that I am very happy with it!

Very nice Chris. Keep up the good work. The canopy looks like it worked out perfect. Let's see some pics of your FO tank.

Cheers and Merry Christmas

Nice tank. Is that a monster frogspawn on the front left of the tank? Nice coraline growth. Are you a kalk dripper, two part, or do you have a reactor? What halides and VHO's exactly do you have? That's a really great looking reef geoman.

Looks good man. Nice Coraline on the live rock. Are you dosing anything?

geoman
December 25th, 2003, 11:51 PM
Thanks guys. Actually, I dose using Reef Complete every few days. I've been thinking about buying a calcium reactor. I alternate with calcium one day then carbonate the next! The coraline was somewhat better before I introduced the lights but I'm sure it'll bounce back.

There are about 15 heads on the frogspawn, I've got a bunch more growing.

The halides are Venture 250 W bulbs and the VHO's are Coralife's. I have one actinic and another 10,000k. I plan on going with two actinics once I've acclimatised the tank with the metal halides. I've been increasing the time I run them by one hour per week. I'm at 6 hours per day now.

I'm really happy with this CBB. I just got him a few days ago. He's in my new FOWLR tank!

BTW, thanks for compliments.

Very nice looking tank Geoman. I love the coraline growth. Ecspecially on the tonga branch. I don't know if it is just me but I find the tonga takes forever to cure. Just curious what one of the corals are. It is the sps? beside the monti dig. frags in the photo. it is the bright reddish coral. Very nice looking, and a unique color.

Good job
Dave

Thanks guys. The CBB is eating like a horse. He eats mysis. As for the reddish coral... well I think that's just coraline growth. I'm not even sure if it's alive. It looked totally different when I bought it. I can't say that I'm seeing any polyps day or night!

Chris
