I'm looking for some advice on keeping Echinata happy. Any suggestions? Does anybody here have a Colony of it?
Thanks.

3/4 ways down from the top with good water movement all around the colony works for me. My first attempt, up high with high flow failed, and the coral died.

Mike,
That is a really beauty. It's a deep water Acro and they are very difficult to keep. You may be ok with with super now nutrients and having it lower in tank with T-5.
Let us know how you're doing with it.

2 days in the tank and I have a little bleaching going on. I think I may need to reduce my photo period for a few days. Polyps are still out so I'll boost up the Natur-Kol (sp) feeding.

My guess is speciosa. Definately not Echinata or Secale though.

Thanks for the id guys. At any rate too much light on a Echinata is bad news. I've seen them up high and down low. Down low look great, up high not so good.
