I have been speaking to the owner of Pure Caribbean Aragonite and think that we should be able to import pallets of their product for about $35.00 per 40lb bag (although actual weight varies from 44-45lbs per bag).
I still need to verify with our US broker on the charges, but after estimating - the $35.00 per bag price should be ok!
Who would be interested in purchasing Aragonite @ this price? Caribsea Aragamax (Oolite) comes in 30lb bags and goes for $39.00 each...so you are getting another 10-15lbs for $5.00 LESS!!??
Let me know who's interested!!
Pure Caribbean Aragonite Product Fact Sheet:
Calcium carbonate as Aragonite is a very rare mineral (found in tropical marine deposits). Aragonite is produced by living organisms (coral) in shallow waters. Aragonite reef sand granules are formed from these coral skeletons.
Smaller rounded (oolitic) Aragonite sands are also harvested from the sea floor.
Special blend of uniform graded sand particles sized between approximately 0.18 and 1.2mm for:
pH support - holds highest pH of any sand or gravel
Nitrate reduction in shallower beds
Increased pore water space
Maximum mineral and trace element diffusion
Maintains beneficial bacteria population
Our Aragonite is a sugar-sized sand with the following analysis:
