pink tip anemone

I added a pink tip anemone to my tank 2 weeks ago. It seems healthy and happy but "emits" a long, silky like ribbon of ??? every so often. Is this normal?

Yup...

Its his way of releasing Waste.. how often are you feeding it? and what are you feeding it?

Usually thats just an anemone expelling wastes after eating!
Unfortunetly for them, unlike us they weren't gifted with an exit seperate from there entrance ;)... So they Also use there 'Mouth' to expell the left over waste after Digestion

thanks for the input guys - I'm feeling less stressed now. I've been feeding one medium sized shrimp pellet every 2 or 3 days, per advice from fish store. Does this sound reasonable?

I dont know about shrimp pelets.. I use to feed my Pink tip a cocktail shrimp.. or just squirt some Mysis shrimp into him.
