MH for less than 100$ us??

Whle doing some reading on lighting, I've stumbled upon this site : http://aquarium.union.rpi.edu/articles/DIY_MH.html

It seems that it was made 2 years ago and probably discussed already. But I could'nt find any comments.

What do you think?

Basically it seems that where the savings are, is with the ballast, box and reflector.

Thanks guys. This seems more affordable than I thought. But the fact that he his using a Mercury Vapor ballast instead ofyour normal electronic one for example, does'nt have any ill effect?
