i have noticed that i have a few unknowns in my tank.

the reason i am concernd is i see two eating some polyps.

ive found one in the skimmer

and ive found another on the glass.

this is the best pic i could take, they are between have a mm, to two cm in length.

They are zoanthid eating nudibrachs. google them, they are a big problem that will eat every zoo and paly polyp and multiply like crazy.

First thing you want to do is fresh water dip all your colonies and frags This will kill all the adults but you will then have to look for their eggs which are not killed by a fw dip.

lol, sorry for my spelling... i was in a rush before haha

how long should i dip the coral and frags for?

where exactly do they lay eggs? under rocks? on top of them? anywhere in particuler to look?

thanks

or does anyone have any other ways to rid of these things?

as corpusse stated, you have to dip them to get the adults killed, then manually remove the eggs sacs (use tweezers). No other way around it, sorry.

Dip for 1 minute, while shaking vigorously to ensure you get them all off. Then look for very small egg sacs, they'll be coiled up, with the eggs appearing as tiny white-ish balls.
