What are these tiny purple leaf like structures?

I did not try to establish whether it is soft or hard, I like them & do not wish to break them off. If more develops I will try to break some off. Colour is like coralline but I did not think coralline would grow in this specific type of pattern, very leaf like. If I break some off for inspection I will add to post.
