Best way to move a mushroom coral?

What is the best way to remove a mushroom coral from a rock and move it to a new spot?

cut it off with a razor blade as close to the rock as possible.
then use a piece of netting and gel superglue or weights to hold in place in it's new home.
once it takes hold the netting can be removed.

epoxy putty can be used to cover the old spot if you want to prevent it from growing there again.
