Wow Reefin Geek. That's some setup you have. Congrats! How has your skimmer been working out. Would you say its worth the big bucks they command. What kind of sand are you using in that DSB? How about your lighting? I see that you ended up going with the Gen-X Mak 4 pump. It's a nice pump, eh? I run 2 on my system. I'm jealous of how you have your tank built into the wall. I wish my 280 was built in. Keep the pics coming. I wish I lived in the south where there were more people into the hobby. Kinda feel isolated up here in Sudbury. We are a small group of serious hobbiests up here.
Cheers,
Andy

Thanks for the kudo's
How has the skimmer been working out? FANTASTIC!! Worth the bucks? Well I got a very sweet deal on it so I didn't pay near retail , so yes it was worth every penny.
The sand is Southdown. 350 pounds with about 75 pounds of live from my old tank on top.
Lighting consists of
Ice Cap 660 driving 2 72" URI Atinics
250 Watt Blueline E ballast driving a 10k Ushio
250 Watt Homegrown Pendant/Ballast driving a Iwaki 6500
Kinda feel isolated up here in Sudbury
We have a trailer in Parry Sound, mabey in the summer I'll come up and see you
