OK , so I'm going to start building my second canopy so I can fit 175 W MH with 4 no flourescents ! Does anyone know of a supplier that carries a 46.5 " VHO thats the measurement I have on the NO's . For the top I want to use a sheet of 3/16 metal or aluminum to act as a heat sink for the MH lights , can anyone tell me from expierence if it would be better as far as corrosion to use stainless steel checkerplate (for better reflexion ) or the aluminum of which I would polish? What is hammertone made of ? The top would be 8 to 10 " off the surface of the water so salt spray would be to a minimum , so what's ya think SS or alum. . Thank you in advance for any and all of your input , Kevin ! :thanks:

URI (Ultra Violet Resources Inc) make a 46.5" VHO bulb.
Just make sure that you have the excess room for the endcaps!

I would use Stainless steel or Hammertone reflector, Aluminum will not rust but will pit in time from humidity those developing the surface white speckles...IMO
