Paul, no it's not cyano just a little of brown diatom on the sand, since my fighting conch are hibernating in the past 10 days there is nobody to clean the sand..lol
Kev, your clams looking excellent, too bad we can't capture the true colors of these creatures from front of glass unless we take a pic from above the water...
Andy, beautifully clam just like the rest of your tank but looks like the current in there is gonna rip the mantle of that clam. :what:

Those clams are gorgeous I really love the electric blue. Here is my baby Crocea. Not the most colorful clam but clam shopping in Sudbury is tough so beggars can't be choosers.

Once brown maxima, thats turning a blue/black with some green. Looks more green from this top down, than it really is.

this pic does NOT do it justice....
It is really gorgeous from top down..this is through the glass
with 10K ushio...which is not the ideal colour for pics I am finding out.
but hope you enjoy it anyways....

Thought I'd add a pick of mine. Is more gold than pic shows, with burgundy spots (show brown in the pic), and the outer edge has a flourescent green hue.
Just an example of livestock from JL aquatics in BC - for the folks in Sudbury or other remote areas, I was really pleasnatly surprised by what I got.

I wouldn't call it little :) Its about 5-6 inches. I paid 100bux.
I fell in love with the colour of it and it will go great with a few blue maximas i plan on getting.

After watching my clams for the past two months I have a question to ask. Can clams move on their own or are mine moving simply because the Tunze is moving some of the sand they're sitting on?

I don't have clams but I've heard they usually move around by "Snapping" so they can jump about a fair bit. Once they "put their foot down" however they don't move much so I would say that the Tunze may be moving the substrate and clams because I think your clams have already attached their foot.
