Thanks.

We are actually very pleased, I'm hoping to see it work Thursday, the guy's hooked it up last night and said it worked great except for two little leaks. Which is not bad considering I never glued the stuff before

I've filled the leaks (hopefully) and will be testing tomorrow night.
I haven't decided if I'm just going to fill it with water or if I'm going to hook it up to one of the tanks and see how much gunk it can grab between Wednesday night and Thursday night. I'm running a PM1 on that tank now so I can't see it finding a lot to pull out...

Thanks

But I can't take all the credit, Dan and Paul also help, now we have two more to build. The first one is always the hardest

Hey guys - looks good. Just wondering...do you have a drain for the skimmate once it collects in the collection cup?

We do NOW! I drilled and tapped one last night...
It posed a significant challenge to do this AFTER the fact but it's done... :)

Yeah, I would have to agree that it looks awesome. Very impressive!!! Way to go and I am sure that the second and third will be a piece of cake compared to the first one.
Good luck

I'm sorry but I don't understand your question. I think you are asking were we got the acrylic tubing. Look for a place that deals with acrylic and see if they carry some. Most places only sell it in 6 ft lenghts. Since we are building three skimmers that was not a problem

écumeur means Skimmer, right?
coute means cost, right?
How much does this skimmer cost to build? I don't think we actually calculated the cost to make one. We have a parts list. Once it's all nailed down we'll likely make the plans and prices available on the MASK website. Dan, Dan and I haven't discussed this yet.

Actually Dan has the skimmer running, as for cost like Paul said we haven't figured that out yet. Part of the problem is that we bought enough stuff for three skimmers, one for me, one for Paul and one for Dan. A rough guess would be about $300 - $400 each, the acrylic isn't cheap, and all those little fittings add up. The tubing is only extruded acrylic not cast so it would have costed more if we went with the expensive stuff. And it took us almost a day to put the first one together. The second and third will go alot faster (I hope)
