Hi, I picked up a sweet frag from John... my ph it 8.2 and my dkh is 10... Salinity 1.024 my problem is the acan(blood red centers with white edges) I have is getting much lighter in color(almost pink and white) and I am having a hard time feeding it. May I ask what is the best to feed them ??? and is it hand fed or target fed?? I do use photopl. but I feel I am going to loose this little baby .... Oh..one thing also, it is placed a little more than 3/4s of the way up the tank, is it to close to my halides??? it makes for easier feeding(mysis shrimp)

any Ideas would be great .... Thnxs!

Way to high up on your tank

put it on your sandbed, and slowly raise it up over time, but these are not very demanding corals. IMO you are bleaching it by having it so high up in your tank.

Also give it a few days to settle in before you try and spot feed it.

Definatly too high. Sand bed that baby. I hand feed mine acan. Just feed the tank first with some
cylclopeeze and wait about 5-10 min. The feeder tenicles will come out. Now you can either hand feed it
or spot feed each head with a turkey baster.
