Hello all,
the LFS I frequent has a large school of these anthias. The shipment statement labeled them as Pseudanthias squamipinnis but they clearly aren't. They arrived from an Indonesian shipment and the best I can narrow them down to is that they are Pseudanthias hutchii - it fits the range, however the colours are not the best match. The most prominent male does have the correct markings, especially the red-orange trim on the pelvic fins. Most descriptions and pictures show a fish with an overall olive colour, while these are a lemon yellow washing to cream-grey. The eye stripe is clearly orange, while again pictures show a red one. I'm sure shipping stress has altered the colours too.
I've included a few pictures taken with my cell phone - my apology on the quality.
I'm fairly certain on the id, just need a second opinion. I know there are a few anthias specialists out there and would appreciate their input.
