I found this guy in a piece of acro along with 2 other regular acro crabs. Any Ideas? He is about the size of a nickel. He has claws like a pistol shrimp but not the head of body. He also has 2 filter feeding combs by his mouth. His claws are so big compared to his body that if he falls on his back they seem to be too heavy for him to flip himself back over. He was a bright green and his eyes are purple. Thanks for any input.

Nice find, you going to keep him? I take it if he filter feeds he should be alright for your tank.

He may be a filter feeder, but what OTHER kind of feeder may he be with those claws????? That is my concern.

Looks like some kind of pistol shrimp. Nice find, the guy looks tiny!

Most likely a pistol shrimp. I might be able to take him for you since a friend of mine is looking for a pistol shrimp.

defintely a coolfind...
i doubt it would rely too much on filter feeding as i dont see the characteristc "fans"
maybe a species of squat lobster?
those are huge claws for such a small body
cool either way.....
