So here we go! ..

this is my 30G Tank that i am going to be left with sence losing everything in my 150g.. so i have re organized the lighting in it concidering i have slightly more lighting.. so this is how it goes..

now keep in mind i like the blueish look to the tank.. and the camera picks up more of the blue than i think our eyes do as looking at the tank in the basement here its not as blue. But i tell you i really really like the coloralation now of the corals and my Clown!

so lets start :

this is the tank under just the Halide ( 10k ushio) tim this ones for you you can see its still very yellowish.. and its been running now for months! i think 4 months now.. more than 1000 hours burning and the nipple is in the right place :)

Here it is with 1 30 watt Phillips No Actinic bulb running one a standard bulb so its firing at 30 watts.

and now here we go running the same 30 watt phillips Actinic bulb but being run off a AH Supply 110 watt electronic ballast i have all 4 hot wires running to the bulb so i do have it overdriven!
Im Sure you can see the difference!

and then finally! here we go with all the bulbs 1 no standard 1 no overdriven and 1 halide :) again.. i like BLUE!

Now again like i said, the camera is making it look alittle more blue than my eyes see it.. but you can see the difference in color from the bulbs.. Now i am using BRAND new Phillips actinic bulbs both 36 inch (30watt) one being driven on the normal ballast and one on the electronic being over driving.. as i dont know if its true overdriving bulbs burn them out faster or not.. so i will find out! they are both on the same timmer and together so we will see witch one burns out faster and how much faster!

Thanks..

what length is that 30 watt bulb?
also wondering what length bulbs the e-ballast is meant to run.

So i want to give THANKS to mike up in Barrie, he had a old 36 inch unit (2x30 watts) that i could have as it has not worked in a while.. So got her home took it apart tonite and cleaned it and had to replace the ballast witch i did works Great! :)

here are some shots.. again .. Tanks Mike!

So here it is, just for some who dont know its a 33G ( 36 inch tank) with i currently use for my sump/refugium Keeping about 30 pounds of sand and 20 pounds of Rock in .. the bulbs on here are 1 Phillips actinic and 1 Aquagrow Hope this combo will work for Calupra growth as well as not be too bright for the Pod pupulation growth!
