I just want to know what someone with a lot of experiance would say their next step is if they had my tank. I would also love to see other peoples setups aswell just because no two tanks in this hobby ever seem to be the same.

Yeah this hobby and patience do NOT get along well. I remember back when I got in it I was at a fish store every couple of days...
Don't think you will have much problem finding people willing to help you out though. One thing I would suggest is consider, if you can, adding a refugium to your design... you'll thank yourself for it.

My system is kind of counter to what I would recommend to anyone starting out (No sump, refugium etc...) but if you were so inclined I tend to have an open door policy on visitation! That and as many will attest to I have a tendency to give away frags of any corals that are ready to break up.

Send me an email if possible with your number.

Where's the pictures of your set up?
I'm in your area as I live on Aldersbrook, but all my tanks are very basic with no frills at all.
Dave's tank (Fizzio) is great and he is just off Lawson Rd.
You probably could get a different opinion from each hobbyists who sees your set up.

I'm probably in the same sub as you (Hyde Park Woods). Ihave seen a house at night in the sub with the telltale glow so I figured there was someone with a sw tank in the area. I'm on Bayswater so I'm pretty close and I'm home all weekend.

Sounds like I shouldn't of moved from that area with this many reef tank keepers!
Then again my parents wouldn't let me keep my 6"-135gallon aquarium if I still lived with them!
Cheers!

Thats too funny sounds like my new sub divison is full of reefaholics. I also noticed the pretty glow of a reef tank at one of the corner houses on Coronation and Tanoak and another one in behind that....I try to do a slow drive bys all the time without looking like a creeper.
I am on Kyle Crt. kinda off of Coronation.
Hope the Hydro lines in the area are equipped to handle all these reefs haha.

I've been quite suprised at the number of saltwater aquarists in the London area since I got into the hobby.
Leads to great meetings for the MACL though as there is no limit to new people to talk to and experience to learn from that's for sure!

I have been trying to make it out to a meeting for over a year now. It really is great that there is such an active group of reefers in London.
I will try really hard to make it out to the next meeting but doubt it as I am stuck in the office every weekend.
My tank crashed after my move to this area so some frags would have been great.
Hope to see all you local reefers someday.

That's the house I was taling about too. The tank looks pretty big as well. If anyone wants to get together on the long weekend I am working on the house all weekend and am kiddie free. I'm on Bayswater.

You guys may want to consider pooling your money together and purchasing a GIANT whindmill for extra power in that area and run it your houses.
OOOOooo and just to let you know i have seen the DEA in that area writing down house numbers. So don't be suprised to see your door broken down in the next few weeks.
LOL:hihi:

I don't have to worry about that anymore as the police paid a visit many years ago when I was using my 1000w metal halide to grow tomatoes in my basement. They pried the garage door open to gain access on a later visit when they heard my air pump running in the garage and thought I was doing myself in. (hydro worker tipped the police off both times)
Now that I have tanks, they just assume it's still for tomatoes.
The unfortunate thing now is that I can't use that metal halide over any of my tanks because it throws off too much heat.

Well I just added a few new critters to the 75 that I have up and running now (finally). If anyone wants to stop in let me know weekends are best for me or wekdays in the day. We just added a blue tang a green open brain a red reef starfish and on Thursday we added a new Nova T5 48" light and a lavender mushroom.
Chudly are you a member of the London fire department?
Here are some pics of the tank as it sits as of today.
