Well...where to start?

It has been a little over 2 years since I started the AquariumPros.ca Forums - and as an anniversary gift, I get to migrate the website over to a new server. :)

My initial server that I purchased for AquariumPros.ca allowed for 15GB of data transfer per month - and as some of you are aware, the AquariumPros.ca site went down today (October 25th, 2003) due to exceeding our bandwidth allowance (nearing 20GB/month).

So...I am in the process of setting up AquariumPros.ca on it's very own private server (we are currently housed on a shared server). This requires me to reinstall everything, and transfer (via FTP) all the 300+MB's of files on the existing server.

I will be doing this over the next week (or so), and as such, there may be some down times while I back-up the server, the database, the PhotoPost gallery, etc.

I will try to make this a painless (to you the members) as possible - and ask that you please stand by while we go through this growing pain to accomodate our ever-growing community.

With the site hosted on the new server - any future growth should be easier to overcome, as I have many more options available (increased bandwidth, hard drive space, etc.).

I appologize in advance for any inconvienence this may cause.

Sincerely,

Well folks...

After over 40hours spent in the last 2 days.....AquariumPros.ca is located at it's new home.

Everything SHOULD (better) be set-up - with the exception of the shopping cart.

Please let me know if you are experiencing any connectivity issues with any part of the site (you may have to change your bookmarks - but the site links should all be correct and working).

There are many new additions to the new AquariumPros.ca site. I will be launching them over the next few days.

Check out our NEW and improved Online Chat - http://www.aquariumpros.ca/chat/index.php
AquariumPros.ca Auctions - just like E-bay - you will have your own auction where you can list items for auction, bid, etc. ~ Coming Soon!! - http://www.aquariumpros.ca/phpauction/
Check out the new design & layout (not functional yet) of the shopping cart ~ Online Soon!! - http://www.aquariumpros.ca/oscommerce/

Thanks again for all your continued support!!!

Not a problem at all. I'm glad that you found us, and are able to utilize the vast resources the AquariumPros.ca Community has to offer.

Happy Reefing.... :D
