Well...where to start?
It has been a little over 2 years since I started the AquariumPros.ca Forums - and as an anniversary gift, I get to migrate the website over to a new server. :)
My initial server that I purchased for AquariumPros.ca allowed for 15GB of data transfer per month - and as some of you are aware, the AquariumPros.ca site went down today (October 25th, 2003) due to exceeding our bandwidth allowance (nearing 20GB/month).
So...I am in the process of setting up AquariumPros.ca on it's very own private server (we are currently housed on a shared server). This requires me to reinstall everything, and transfer (via FTP) all the 300+MB's of files on the existing server.
I will be doing this over the next week (or so), and as such, there may be some down times while I back-up the server, the database, the PhotoPost gallery, etc.
I will try to make this a painless (to you the members) as possible - and ask that you please stand by while we go through this growing pain to accomodate our ever-growing community.
With the site hosted on the new server - any future growth should be easier to overcome, as I have many more options available (increased bandwidth, hard drive space, etc.).
I appologize in advance for any inconvienence this may cause.
Sincerely,
