So from the best that I have read ozone will breakdown ammonia plus organics.
This would lead me to think that if for some reason ozone was removed from a system it would not have the bacteria to cope with the bioload .

Am I on the right path of thought so far ?

Also with ozone you need to use carbon on both ends of the outputs.

The second ? is would it not be better to run a large uv unit with carbon 24/7 without the risk of ozone in the home or if done right is ozone the best way ?

If you are not familiar with ozone, don't use it :)

And yes for that purpose UV is better... of course proper quarantine is the best way to go.

When using ozone, you also want to have a REDOX monitor to measure the redox level in your system assuming it is reef.

Yes I would be using redox.
I feel quite confident in my ability to apply ozone but is it worth it to use the double carbon with it or use uv and carbon in a reactor {would it give me the same results ? }

Said it once. Will always say it. Stay away from ozone people. You don't want it in your home in any way shape or form , or in any amount. There. I feel better now.
