My clowns are doing the same thing as in this video

fast forward to a minute and watch from there...it looks like the fish are going crazy..anyone know what this is?

yes, "cleaning the nesting site" is a good symptoms that they pair is ready to lay eggs. If both the male and female do the same thing it's an even happier sign.

However there is no guarantee on how long before they actually lay eggs, it can be tomorrow or it can be 9 months or more later.

Good luck, it's always exciting to see eggs.

They usually do their little clown fish "spazz dance" and they found a nice rock with an overhang and underneath it is where they are nipping at the rock...whenever the two fish are in the same spot they both go crazy with their dance...i guess i wont move them into the bigger tank yet...they don't have a host but i was reading that it doesn't matter as long as they find somewhere they feel safe...if they do lay eggs and i have a successful batch and i raise a lot, the first 5-10 people that wants one can get one for free...:cheers:

host not required, safe and well fed. That's usually all it takes.

John my clowns do the same but they don't have a watchman taking note of everything. You must have everything working well in your system to make them do the spazz as you call it :clap:
